Future Architecture of Eastbourne - May 12th

The Eastbourne Society is delighted to extend a warm welcome to its next meeting to both members and non members of the society. Jefferson Collard the Council’s Planning Manager has agreed to come and talk to The Society about his views on contemporary architecture and its relevance to Eastbourne.

As the town is now attracting a number of new buildings designed by award winning architects The Society would like to extend its invitation to members of the Eastbourne public who are interested in what our town is likely to look like in the future. Of course the Eastbourne Society is also keen to ensure that the historical context of the urban environment is not put at risk and we hope that Jeff will be able to reassure us as well as enlighten us!

Jeff has been involved with the Council’s Planning Service for many years initially as historical buildings advisor and then planning policy manager and now he looks after the entire team of planners at the Town Hall.

This is a wonderful opportunity to come and hear Jeff’s views on the future architecture of the town.

The meeting will be on 12th May at 7.30 in the St Saviours Church Hall in South Street.
